The KSC Youth Development Program is designed to provide supplemental training to all interested players, covering the five Pillars of Player Development (Technical, Tactical, Physical, Psychological and Social) through age-appropriate curriculum.
This is a 8-week training program, administered by professionally trained and licensed Coaches, instructed in the Fall, Winter, and Spring. The program is open to all soccer players (6 – 17yrs); from beginners learning the basics and fundamental skills of the game, to elite players looking to play at the next level.
The training is instructed in a safe, fun, and challenging environment that matches the demands of the game, with coaching methodologies that inspire players to reach their highest level of potential. The low coaching ratio allows players to receive maximum attention and coach interaction that gives coaches the ability to address the strengths and developmental needs of every player.
To ensure every player benefits from the program, the training is conducted in two groups; The Instructional Training, and the Elite Developmental Training. Players are grouped after the first day of training. Each group, based on skill ability, is challenged with age-appropriate training that builds up to their developmental progress.
The Instructional Training:
Training is designed to introduce, improve, and master fundamental soccer skills for players of all ages. Training is mostly based on “The Ball and The Man,” aiming to improve each players’ technical ability.
The Elite Developmental Training: For players who are committed to their success and seek to reach a higher level of play, Elite Developmental Training embodies the entirety of the KSC Youth Academy Program’s culture. This is ideal for any player who loves the game and aspires to play and train at an intense and more demanding level. Intended solely for competitive and elite travel level soccer players. The advanced curriculum is specially designed to target individuals’ technical aspects and tactical awareness of the game
Players should always want more and they certainly deserve more opportunities to receive quality training that will supplement their involvement and commitments to their various teams.
